D&I Ideathon Award 2024

AGI Denim was awarded the D&I Ideathon Award 2024 for its initiative titled “Empowering Women for Leadership and Professional Roles in the Garment Industry.” Organized by GIZ Pakistan (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH), the award celebrates innovative approaches that advance workplace diversity and inclusion.

Our initiative addresses the long-standing structural barriers that limit women’s advancement in the textile sector. It introduces a clear framework that includes leadership training, skill development, mentorship, and inclusive workplace policies. By combining these elements, the program creates a supportive pathway for women to transition into supervisory and leadership roles. Designed to be scalable, the initiative aims to drive systemic change across the textile and apparel value chain.

Recognized at the Textile Industry Sustainability Forum (TISF) 2025

Building on the success of the Ideathon win, our initiative was recognized at the Textile Industry Sustainability Forum (TISF) 2025. This forum brings together thought leaders and innovators who are shaping the future of sustainability within the textile industry.

AGI Denim’s program was acknowledged for its contribution to strengthening the social dimension of sustainability. The forum highlighted the importance of equitable participation and emphasized that increasing the presence of women in leadership roles contributes directly to long-term business resilience.
